Better Burma

In 2005, Pastor Bob Davies of Gentle Shepherd Church met Daniel Kalnin and embraced the vision to bring health, self-sufficiency, and both Biblical and Medical teaching to those FLC evangelists chosen by Timothy, Abraham and his son, Pesarram.

Over the years, the Gentle Shepherd Church congregation purchased land, motorcycles, provided funds for specific projects. They sent teaching teams and brought evangelists to Canada to learn English, Addictions Recovery training, Bible, business development, and linked them to businesses in Canada with goals to further development.
The development projects include: agriculture and retail, business planning and book keeping. Our goal is to build businesses and assist evangelists with self-sustaining income opportunities. We have enabled water projects, child sponsorship programs, musical instruments for worship, and other necessary equipment for numerous projects. We are working on vertical and hydroponic farming, trees – orchards and lumber, banana and mango food products, chicken, pig and beef farming all including other associated products such as fruit preserves.  As part of this we have staffed and funded Medical/Ministry training sessions in Myanmar that educates those who cannot attend the Barefoot Doctors Program.

Beyond Thailand and Burma, FLC workers are active in evangelism and development projects in other countries in the region. Due to security concerns, this work remains undisclosed to allow for it to flourish and grow.

Timothy and Bob expand on the work in Burma.
