50 Years of Ministry Service

“You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning, And clothed me with joy, That I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks Forever!” Psalms 30: 11-12 (NLT)

Summary of the Weekend Celebration by Beverley Kalnin
My children and grandchildren, nephews and nieces and their families were able to come and attend from America, Canada, Spain, Myanmar and Bangkok! I was so encouraged that my dear friend and prayer partner Barbara Cloud, now in her 80’s, arrived from America as well as Russ Kuykendall, board chairman of FLC Canada. In addition, many friends, village evangelists and their church members came from all over Thailand and Myanmar.
We were expecting around 300 people. We ended up with over 500 guests! The cooks had to quickly prepare extra food to feed everyone! The first night was for revival with Pastor Anthony Perkins and his family who minister in the night clubs of Pattaya. Wonderful special songs were provided by the Myanmar evangelists, Akha evangelists, Russ Kuykendall and Beulah Christian Church with a candlelight song called “Go Light Your World”. The Akha young people of Baan May Pattana presented a beautiful dance of praise to God. It was all very moving.
Saturday was the main event with many special songs and dances from all the tribal people who serve the Lord with us at FLC. There was a short message encouraging us to be faithful to God for all our lives and never give up. Messages from the US, Canada, Thailand and Myanmar were also shared. My part was putting together a video slideshow of the past 50 years of ministry. This was a daunting task which took me weeks of going through tons of old photo albums as well as recent pictures on the computer! With Sarep Pung’s help, we got it done and presented it during the service. The finale was an amazing traditional Rawang celebration dance where everyone joined in at the end!
May God bless you abundantly!
